I am putting together some data to determine how many boars I should leave in the enclosure after culling. To figure out how efficient it would be starting with 2, 4, 6, 8 etc. boars I need to know how often the boars can breed. That way I can determine population growth over time and express it with an explicit number.
So basically: does anyone know how much time elapses between each new boar being born (from the same mother)?
By the way – here is a chart and graph that show population growth over each breeding cycle! Might help you make the decision I am trying to make.
