If there was an accessory like Megingjord, that instead of increasing weight capacity, just gave me 9 extra food only slots at 0 weight (think like a Food Backpack) I would totally sacrifice the extra weight gain from Megingjord. They could even add a little craft pricing restriction on it. For example, since you're carrying food, you make it with 5 leather / 1 freeze gland / 1 iron bar (even though nothing spoils, but why not…)
Especially with the addition of Mistlands I'm switching foods constantly. I have three solid stam foods for fishing, three eitr foods for pew pew time, a couple heavy health foods to be mixed in for Mistlands and Plains, and then to top it off three infinite renewable foods that I use around base or when sailing. At this point I'm just switching out at base but I still end up usually carrying 6 foods with me depending on my current objective which seems like a lot.
Now I want to be clear I'm not complaining about the food, I love the variety and strategy behind it. I just think a better method to bring said food would be appreciated and used. I don't want to waste my ship storage since that's always been strictly for portal/ores to bring back and my normal storage and weight gets rather crowded just for the normal equip I bring.
Not being able to craft them sucks. Especially when everyone I talk to about it…
