In my previous post, I showed everyone the results of me doing 100 Shoreline loot runs and I didn't really go in to detail on the run it self. So this post will be a in-depth guide on the route which I took and different tips/tricks which helped me whilst doing these runs.
Loadout:
The loadout which I took with me to Shoreline was just a M9A3 with PSO gzh rounds and scav backpack. The reason for this was so that I had a cheap loadout that if I died I wouldn't be annoyed to lose. Also with the M9A3 you are able to kill people with a single shot to the head most of the time if they aren't wearing a helmet.
Obviously the loadout is all personal choice and you should take what ever you want and if you do try the run out yourselves and use a different loadout, leave a comment and let me know how it was
The Map:
Above is the map which I used before starting the 100 runs in order for me to learn the different spawns and the most efficient routes of getting to the resort as quick as possible. When starting out with running Shoreline I highly recommend you using the map to help you get around.
Not sure of the username of the people who made this. If you know then let me know in the comments
This is the second map which I used in order to learn how to navigate through resort quickly and efficiently. This map was incredibly useful when I started playing Shoreline and I would highly recommend having it open when playing the first few runs.
The Route:
To begin with, here is a reminder of the keys you will need if you didn't see my original post:
These keys are a vital part of the run and would I highly recommend getting all of these if you want to start running shoreline. If you aren't able to afford all of the keys straight away I would recommend getting 222/226 East Wing and 301 West Wing to begin with.
There was 3 very similar routes which I took during these runs which all depended on which spawn I got.
Route 1(If you spawn on the west side of the map):
Route 2(If you spawn on the south/east side of the map):
Route 3(If you spawn on the north side of the map):
These routes may not suit everyone do feel free to adapt them and let me know how it goes.
Highly Contested Areas:
Some parts of resort are a lot more contested than others and you will need to be a little more careful when it comes to checking the rooms.
As you enter into both West and East wing you should be cautious that there aren't other people entering the building at the same time as you so make sure to try and listen out for footsteps as you get there.
West 301 is a highly prioritised room for a lot of people so be careful around that area and make sure that the door is locked when you get there so that you know no one is inside.
West 221/218 is another prioritised room due to it having a Red Keycard spawn. Be careful of the second floor around this room.
You will need to try and make sure it is safe before running across the cat walk as it is very open. Check the opposite end of the corridor for players and check to see if you can hear or see any scavs outside who will shoot you through the windows.
East 222/226 is a prioritised room for most people on Shoreline as it has many high value items which can spawn in there
