So a friend said as a joke when some trolls invaded our base “can you imagine if they were real players but playing as trolls” Cuz they came right when we were rebuilding our base to make our lives impossible.
Then I had this Idea for a invasion system, sort of. A raid table, something like the map but more war themed with swords and overall a distinctive design, enough to differentiate it from the cartography table, some cool war sound when activating and epic music while invading. When interacting a Simple UI pops out asking if you are sure you want to activate the invasions or you want to invade other players. (Making it optional is a must). There should be a cooldown for each server/game session so you can’t get invaded more than once every X hours/ can’t invade again for X hours. Players invading would spawn together somewhere near the invaded player bed, possibly on land, enemy's bed is marked on red on the invaders map. The invasion ends either by one team killing the other team for the number equal to the friends he has, so if you invade a group of 3 you must kill 3 times no matter if its the same player, raid also ends after a short period of time(like when the forests attacks). To make it more fair, players can invade only players that have defeated up to the same boss as them and have invasions enabled on the table. No players are able to build or destroy while a invasion is taking place, however they can break walls or maybe other building blocks using tools, haven’t really thought about chests but I feel like being able to open chests is not really fair, so that needs a solution. But you can open tombs at free will and take the loot.
I have no idea if this is something possible on the net codding stuff, and I guess it would requiere dedicated servers on steam or something like that. Is just something I came up with without thinking much about it, so feel free to add or take.
