Hey all!
So, I thought I'd start making some basic videos regarding real life tactics as they relate to Tarkov. I'm a huge gear/tactics nerd and that has been the major draw to Tarkov for me. The ability to implement real world concepts in the game in a manner that just does not work through a COD style of play. I think Battlestate does an amazing job of implementing tons of tactics and strategies as they relate to real life, in the game.
My aim is to help beginners a little bit with some foundational concepts, but also all play levels by breaking down some basic concepts as they relate to angles, movement in a structure, and so forth.
Keep in mind that lots of minutia related to tactics that you'd get into in real life is missing here since you don't really need it, and there are far more important aspects to the game such as map knowledge, type of ammo/armor, etc.
Anyone who has utilized real world concepts knows that it can be debated all day. In light of that this is not intended to be the end all be all, but just some simple concepts based on courses I've gone to and tactics I've been taught IRL that have helped me a bit in the game!
I plan to release more based on pieing/panning doors, how pieing/panning under nods is more of a challenge than you'd think due to a restricted FOV and even under the FOV you get with panos, cross cover with teammates, cross versus button entries, sniper overwatch (from Dome for instance), and more. Most of this stuff will focus on interior movements for now since my experience with open field movements is limited to basic movements, and open field movements really need a full squad to properly articulate the concepts. However I plan to work on some videos for them if I can get some training in or find someone to work with me on the videos who is well versed in that stuff.
If you have any questions or suggestions let me know! If you'd like to talk specifically about tactics I'm up for that as well since I love this stuff!
I'm new and just getting started with video editing and YouTube, so any input would be awesome!
Regards,
TacGiraffe
