Modes Proposal: Normal, Survival, Creative, Raid

Since there is so much debate over the difficulty of the game. This is what No Man's Sky does and it has great balance with the addition/exception to Raid mode which I innovated.

-Normal: The easier version of the present survival tuning. In normal

-Eaten food lasts longer
-Creatures less lethal
-Skills accrues faster
-No Cold at Night
-slightly larger inventory
-Only a select few achievements earned

-Survival: As is right now minus the Mistlands nerf – Maybe buffed meadows creatures like boars and neck's to actually scare a seasoned player rather than laugh.

-Combat Achievements, Boss Achievements, completion earned
-Achievement for never dying

Creative:

-Infinite resources and fly around like the addons let you
-unlocks after Normal mode is complete
– Hammer is a god tool

Raid (my innovation)

-Community of 5 or more vikings tuning online at once
-Small mobs are tuned to fight two vikings
-Unique mobs are tuned to fight 3 vikings at a time (Shaman, Brawler, Elites, Golems, etc)
– One Star Mobs meant for 3 vikings and slight increase in size for more available hitboxes
– Two Star Mobs meant for 5 vikings and increase in size for more available hitboxes
-World Bosses tuned for 5 vikings
-World Bosses defeated will auto tune to the next level of boss. (example: Defeating Bonemass will tune Eikthyr to relative Bonemass HP and Damage)
– Node resources should yield slightly more resources for the efforts and mobs could drop a significant resource for the are (Like Draugrs occassionally dropping iron like fulings drop black metal)

-Boss Rush (final achievement)
– After all trophies are placed, a warp gate to an instance opens and all the vikings have 30 seconds to enter that will participate in a boss gauntlet complete with adds. There should be a short rest available in-between fights.

On occasion, a defeated boss has a rare chance to spawn a revenge echo of itself in its home Biome which is detuned to handle 3 vikings instead of 5. A special achievement resource should drop.

The tuning above will encourage cooperative gameplay for all tasks in the game and provide a challenge for the die-hard vikings with very supportive communities and dedicated servers.
