Restricted Valheim Run

I’ve grown a bit bored of my current Valheim run (no rules). I wanna challenge myself to explore every biome a little more and not get so attached to my home in the meadows and get familiar with the creatures and resources in the biomes, so I’ve created a set of rules for a new run that I’ll most likely change before I begin a new game in the morning. I’ll try to keep everyone updated as the game progresses

Here are the rules if anyone’s interested in trying it

-You must start off with a new character

-You must use a random seed

-No using the world generator to spoil the map

-Biomes are locked until you beat the boss of the prior biome (Black Forest is locked until Eikthyr is defeated, Swamp is locked until The Elder is defeated, etc)

-Passing through the biome or exploring is okay, but collecting resources, building bases, and killing monsters is off limits

-You can go into biomes from bosses you’ve already defeated (if the Mountains are unlocked, so is the Swamp, as is the Black Forest, so on and so forth)

-You must build a base in every biome

-The first time you find a new biome (if it is unlocked) is the location your base must be

-The base can be anywhere you want in that biome (i.e. the first Black Forest you step in after defeating Eikthyr is fair game for base building

-When you unlock a new biome, the base of the previous biome is locked (i.e you cannot build there anymore unless it is to build a portal or repair the base)

-A base is a shelter of comfort level 3 or more that is larger than 8x6m. A basic shelter no bigger than 8x6m that consists of a bed, fire, and workbench is only comfort level 2 and therefore can be built in any biome at any time.

-You must upgrade all equipment of the current biome up to whatever level the current workbench allows- including the workbench

-You don’t have to build every piece of equipment from a biome, but you can’t build a piece of equipment from a past biome (i.e. If you’ve unlocked the Swamp you can no longer build stone/flint or copper equipment)

-When you unlock a new biome, you must replace your old equipment with the equipment of the new biome as soon as possible (stone/flint becomes bronze, bronze becomes iron, etc.) and you are unable to upgrade your old equipment any further (i.e. if you have a stone axe from the Meadows, you cannot upgrade it in the future if you craft the adze, which requires bronze from the Black Forest)

-You cannot plant the crops of a new biome in a base of an old biome and vice versa (i.e. no carrots in the Swamp and no turnips in the Black Forest)

-The above rule goes for animal taming as well (i.e. boars belong in the Meadows and lox belong in the Plains)

-You must explore an entire continent before sailing to a new one
