These are my thoughts on how a fairly large update could introduce the concept of Eitr earlier, while still having the Mistlands be the point at which magic becomes very powerful. My idea is that Wands could be crafted at the crafting station with special add-ons. These wands would focus on utility and a little bit of elemental damage, comparable to bows. Wands will be made of bone until the Swamp, then Ancient Bark until staves are introduced. New foods will add a little stamina, a little health, and small amount of Eitr, nothing near what Mistlands foods add. Damage amounts and resource costs could be adjusted to make sure magic doesn’t trivialize anything in the zone.
Obviously, I'm not making any kind of demands out of the devs, this is just a fun thought experiment.
Also, I don't speak Swedish or Norwegian or any Norse language. Names are from google translate and should be made accurate.
