As seemingly the only building-oriented update for a while, Hearth and Home implemented a strong mix of visually and functionally new bits, as well as crafting system updates with associated assets and clutter.
However, imo, the update missed a couple of key features that would have helped quite a bit.
The addition of dark wood and shingled roofs was welcome. Not only does it add an option of adding flair into your builds, it also is a clear indicator of a later-game build. The addition of angled core wood and upside-down corner pieces allow for more versatile builds. And general clutter is always welcome. But to me, they missed a couple of obvious changes:
I'm not a dev, but the first three points on that list seem pretty easy to implement. Why not just put out a quick update including such stuff in between major updates? I enjoy the building system massively, and I'm a bit afraid that the changes in H&H, although welcome, just aren't quite there in terms of variety.
Not being able to craft them sucks. Especially when everyone I talk to about it…
