Welp... here I am; 6 beers deep and confused in the galaxy.
I've spent the past 3-4 weeks falling ass over tea kettle for this game and spend just as much time researching and scrolling reddit about this game as I do playing it. This has been a truly amazing experience and I can't get over how much I still have to learn and discover.
With the recent news about the cancelation of future console developments it does pain me that there is a concrete "end" to Elite Dangerous but I just want anyone out there that's feeling disheartened by this news to try and grasp this feeling I still have now.
Downgrade that ship, explore Sol with a fine tooth comb, run that $75,000 courier mission to an unknown star system. Sit on your hand until it feels like a stranger. Whatever you need to do.
In my greenhorn humble opinion this game isn't dying, it's just not growing. And for a masterpiece this size, I'm okay with being okay with that.
