When Axie Infinity first came out in March 2018, it created such a "boom" that, at its height in 2021, tens of thousands of players were able to make a living simply from playing.
Have you ever played Axie, what did you like the most about it?
It's no surprise why so many game devs started using all these tools, Altura, and others to implement NFTs into their games since they saw how popular these games could be, Axie definitely showed us how much popular they've become.
I recall the press coverage around the $620 million loss suffered by Axie Infinity and its users as a result of a North Korean-funded cyberattack. The company suffered a significant setback as a result of the loss, but amazingly, it was not deadly.
Today Axie Infinity (AXS) is down 92.3% from its peak to around $12 a share, but the game and its parent company, Sky Mavis, continue to fight on.
I heard that they got something new on their mind, first of all, the company will now look to restore trust from its users and to make the system more robust and secure. I believe that the company is now in a great position to take crypto by storm again, primarily due to the loyal community of gamers the company has built up over the years.
Do you think it's about time for them to rise once again?
