Hello Dota community!

I've recently started a new league called Chronicles Dota Mini-League. There a several key points about this league that position it well and set it apart from other leagues.

• ~$2,000 prizepool
• Low time-commitment ~4-6 weeks (estimate based on total teams)
• MMR restrictions to keep teams competitive
• Weekly content (highlights, music, podcast)
• Dedicated Casters
• Invite Only (player vetting to prevent smurfs)

MMR restrictions

• 9k+ mmr is only allowed players under 7k to fill the rest of the team. (if players are close to 7k i.e 6.8k admins will review the player on a case by case basis)
• 8k + 7k mmr can fill with rest under 7k players
• 7k + 7k mmr can fill with rest under 7k players

Team buy-in/Sponsorships

Teams will have an $80 buy in total (this is how most of the prize pool is made). To be transparent with everyone in the dota community – I will be personally funding the difference of the prize pool in hopes to create something that can enable growth for the NA dota scene. Chronicles will be seeking sponsorship opportunities that will grow the prize pool and generate more opportunities for players. We expect to have consistent viewership on streaming platforms during the playoffs of each season and eventually during the weekly group stage matches.

Closing

Some top-tier NA players already committed to teams, and look to gain more traction from the dota community. It's obvious that this league caters to higher-mmr teams based on the restrictions. If there is enough interest from the community in lower mmr, chronicles can feature a separate division with lower mmr cap.
