Alright, If your ship's power plant takes damage and cannot power the shield generator, for now – when you go to reboot/repair – you *SHOULD* be locked into waiting for the reboot to be able to power the shield generator.
We are about to start testing this. The worry was triggered by me accidentally setting my shield gen priority to 5(lul gg self) and deploying hardpoints, *THEN* trying to reboot/repair.
My entire UI stayed dead until I retracted hardpoints. Which is, great – swell for me(No consoles, no nothing, free look lets you look around but thats all you're gonna do at this point)
What happens if your shield generator *CANNOT* be powered?(The entire worry is that you have NO access to power priorities at this stage, you will not be able to fuck with things to get it online – you are theoretically stuck) Again, testing is about to begin shortly. BE CAREFUL FOR NOW. I am rather confident you will simply be locked in the ship waiting for the reboot, that it cannot complete – to finish.
Edit – can at least confirm, is only a worry if the shield generator *CANNOT* be powered, by any means – to begin with. the Reboot/repair will finish successfully if it can at least repair the power plant. But if that isn't what is stopping the shield generator from coming online? You're still stuck.
