With Minecraft Dungeon's Nether update DLC coming out and with the 1.17 update for vanilla just around the corner.
Is it safe to say that all these worldbuilding and minor hints as to what happened in the overworld are now canon to the deep, vague, lore of Minecraft? Mainly Minecraft Dungeons as a Prequel and that Minecraft is the sequel that they're still developing for future franchises.
Now don't get me wrong, Minecraft has had some spinoff franchises, and I'm already crossing out Telltale's Story Mode series as well as Minecraft Earth along with the Minecraft Novels with exception of The Rise of the Arch-Illager. But recently with Minecraft Dungeons, there's a lot of love put into it by putting subtle lore and hints to the the weapons as to how and where did they come from and as to how certain weapons and armors are made through its origins.
The debate that Minecraft as a Sandbox open world game has no lore irks me. Mojang has recently given us an amazing lore but not just directly. Minecraft Dungeon's connection as to what happened in the Overworld of the original Minecraft is astounding. The ideas and art direction of Dungeons being still "vanilla" is what makes it so good and feel like it is indeed canon to the worldbuilding of Minecraft.

In the Fallout universe, I think that the military appeal of weaponry that uses a small number of more-or-less universal ammunition types would be great. Today, we have NATO standards so that allies armies can share ammunition. But what if you could use the same ammunition type for powering a sniper rifle that you'd use for a devastating close-range weapon (e.g. a Microfusion Cell powering a Laser Rifle or a Plasma Rifle)? For a military force in the field, the flexibility of that would be immense.
