New Onslaught Seasons dates

https://worldoftanks.com/en/news/general-news/onslaught-season-of-the-crimson-griffin/

New dates are May 3rd – June 11th (at least on NA)

Among other notable changes to the in-battle combat modifiers and role skills, they have also changed the reward structure.

1st track of leaderboard rewards is same as last year: decals and 2d progressive styles, and if you hold a leaderboard position in champion or legend, you get 25 or 50 bonds per day, respectively, and badges.

The new track of rewards corresponds to the new push for weekly mission completion, and is an obvious attempt at getting people to play more consistently throughout the event.

(Most people who played last season will remember that it was very easy once you were in champion rank and had some extra points over the relegation threshold, that you could squat there for nearly 2 weeks, not playing at all, and make 25 bonds/per day without having to play or risk your position).

For weekly mission completion rewards, you will now get the following for completing all 5 missions per week:

  • One day of prem time
  • 250 bonds
  • 500,000 credits
  • 1 ""lucky chip""

Multiply this x5 or x6 for the total rewards you could earn over the event, depending on when during the event the weekly mission progresses are reset.

This appears to be what they have replaced last season's large pool of rewards with, among which was a bond turbo. No bond equipment in sight for this season, just another slot machine mechanic. The listed rewards are; more 2D styles, universal training guide, days (plural) of prem account, among other things — there remains the possibility that it includes bond equipment of course, but it's doubtful. If it did, they would have probably advertised it.

Given the length of the event, and that the missions reset weekly, you will only be able to get 5 or maybe 6 of these ""lucky chips"", again depending on what days exactly the mission resets take place during the event.

In comparison to last season's rewards, it looks quite anemic and is likely going to be a massive reduction in value to the player. Without a doubt, it is much further away from the rewards you could earn in ranked even compared to the last seasons of Onslaught. These rewards are little better than the most recent season of Steel Hunter.

For reference, at the bottom of this page is the reward list for last season of Onslaught: https://worldoftanks.com/en/news/game-events/onslaught-mode-2022/

  • 4000 bonds
  • 8 days of prem
  • Bond turbo
  • Universal training manual
  • 4 million credits
  • 1x of vert stab, rammer, and vent (300k credits value each)
  • 32 pieces of big consumables
  • 48 bond directives
  • 8 each of the battle XP and crew/free XP personal reserves.
