After fresh install, Elite Dangerous Odyssey by default enables something called "AMD FSR 1.0" that makes your screen look more pixelated to gain some frames.
DISABLE IT! FOR THE LOVE OF GOD DISABLE THAT MONSTROCITY!
You can find it in:
Options > Graphics > Advanced Quality Settings (click that plus icon next to "Quality") > Search for "Upscaling" and change it from AMD FSR 1.0 to normal, then switch "Supersampling" to 1x
Also make sure you have "Terrain Checkerboard Rendering" set to OFF! Having this enabled makes the surface of the planets pixelated too to (just like AMD FSR) gain some frames. You can also find it in advanced quality settings a bit lower from the upscaling and supersampling settings.
Good luck!
