(This is not related to odyssey)
I've always been a huge fan of scavenging as a career in Elite, but unfortunately its not super developed and there are no great resources to properly teach people how. So I thought I'd share some tips.
If you google scavenging the wikidot will tell you about how using the FSS scanner you can find wreckage signals. These do not exist, or are so rare that they are simply not worth looking for.
If you want to scavenge. Use your FSS to look for degraded emission threat lvl.3 (lvl.0 will only have materials and are not worth the travel time.)
There should be atleast one of these signals per populated system. So fill up, look for a named system and jump.
Once your full you can return to a station of your choice and sell your stolen cargo on the black market.
Thats all I have to say. Good luck commanders. o7
