At least 1 week is enough, but I recommend 23th October, Official Liverstream. Lets Frontier be the ones that break the silence.
For text, The reddit text editor have a warning button to hide Spoilers behind a black box, for No-Spoiler threads like Daily Q&A.
For players using Markdown (formatting with plain text), you can use >! and !< to hide text.
