The “realistic” galaxy star view is bugged/annoying as it does not work the same way as the others

In all other views of the galaxy map you see a small bubble area to zoom in/out of, like this… and this makes panning around easier (certainly with mouse)…

But with realistic view you get all the foreground stars as well/rather than the actual area where you are currently centred – this makes it exceptionally hard to pan around to look for interesting things like black holes, without accidentally triggering route plotting, especially irritating when trying to select a next carrier jump and you trigger it, then have to go back in and cancel the jump you didn't want.

This is at the same zoom level as shown in the previous view – see the issue?
