It's also apparently superior in every way to the normal G5 long range FSD and you can throw on a Mass Manager experimental on it.
FYI for newbs like me who learn about this way too late:

Of course, I learn about this thing right after I've fully G5 upgraded the FSD on my Aspx and Python….
Well there's always more ships. Guess I'll get one for a Krait next…
UPDATE:
Well I went and bought one. I had only enough mats for one, it's pretty pricey. Slapped a Mass Manager experimental on it and took it for a spin. Feels like roughly 6-10% range increase. Tried it on my AspX and Python. It definitely feels very worth it on the AspX – took me from 62 to 69 LY which is a huge change if I'm trying to plot a straight line course over hundreds of light years. On a mission-runner Python, it took me from 30 to about 33ish LY unladen. I feel a definite meh about it for this use case, it's very unlikely to save me an extra jump at these ranges. I guess the other use case is for combat ships which turn off their FSD during hardpoint deployment, the fast-boot changes the startup time from 10s to 2s, but IMHO 2s is still 2s too many if I'm in a situation where having to run away is a possibility at all. So, yeah, I don't think I'm getting more than one of these things. Maybe if the Class 6 one ever becomes generally available I might get one and make a jumpaconda out of it.
Not being able to craft them sucks. Especially when everyone I talk to about it…
