So I gave the game a shot. The fighting seemed a bit janky at start but I used the bow to kite the first boss, and the mobs in the first area were easy (even though the first time I was killed by a boar). Building seemed a bit strange as the roofing was hard to do due to limited vision (and raining/dark) – I like to build houses with tall rooms. The deal breaker for me was when I reached the second zone and I received the message 'the forest is moving' – a ton of mobs spawned, managed to kill two dwarves but they had a bigger one with them and that one killed me. Decided to respawn but this time there was also a shaman there that poisoned me and I died again while running. Tried respawning the third time … tried running away but … they ran faster than me, probably mobs have unlimited stamina … and killed me again. Is the game meant to be this way ? I have to restart from scratch ?
I really hoped the game to be better giving the hype around it. So yeah, it was a bad experience for me and I'm glad I did not buy it and was included in the xbox subscription.
