I want a new two-handed axe. Was really hoping the mistlands would have one. I just find the one-handers so boring. I literally fall asleep chopping trees with them (not even exaggerating; I doze off when doing mundane tasks in this game). I know the one-handed axe is a more efficient chopper, but the fact that it puts me to sleep kind of hampers its output lol.
I rather enjoyed having the crystal battleaxe as an option on my item bar, but now would feel gimped keeping it with me over the blackmetal or Jotun Bane (which I honestly was expecting to be a two-handed axe given the image in the crafting menu; imagine my disappointment when I checked the recipe and saw that it was one-handed) as it can't chop the trees in the mistlands. I never really used it as my primary weapon, but it was nice to have on me against certain enemies when I encountered them (looking at you, Abominations).
I prefer the two-handed axes because they feel like a weapon first and foremost, but can be used as a serviceable tool as well–as opposed to the one-handers which are most definitely meant as tools, and perform rather poorly as a weapon (especially when stacked up against the other one-handed weapons, like swords).
This isn't really a complaint or a rant; I'm just hankering for a new, big ol' clunky axe to chop stuff with. I'd probably even consider a well-balanced mod that adds one at plains or mistlands tier (though not really interested in some mod that adds a whole slew of other new weapons just to get a battleaxe). For now I'm just resorting to swapping for blackmetal whenever I go to the mistlands, and using the crystal battleaxe when I'm not doing things there.
In short, I'd rather have an extra weapon that doubles as a tool than a tool that doesn't really offer much utility when used as a weapon.
