Thinking about giving in to the meme and building an AX Conda. The basic idea was a regular shieldless build since I'm quite used to cold orbiting.
But since it has so many optional slots, I'm wondering: would a bi-weave shield make sense? I'm not using silent running because I can stay cold with heat sinks or vent beams as needed, so the shield can stay on. I'd just do the usual tactics and the shield could absorb some of the inevitable damage (scouts, swarms, heat spike damage from interceptors).
No boosters, no SCBs, just a size 7 (low power + fast charge) bi-weave shield to provide a continuously regenerating first-line defence. I'd still have a shitload of hull and over 9000 heat sinks underneath, along with an AFMU, triple MRPs, repair limpets and whatnot.
Please shit all over the idea if it's stupid.
