Yes, I know that we do not have any confirmation that there will be a wipe.
I know that Nikita said a month ago they didn't have any plans on it.
But the only time Tarkov ever seems to get "events" is Pre-Wipe, and even if there isn't a wipe the following point still stands.
THESE EVENTS ARE FUCKING FUN!
And that is what matters, is that these events have been incredibly enjoyable.
But there are definitely some improvements that could have been made.
For starters, why are all these events being rapid-fire stacked on top of one another?
Each of these events could have stood alone, on it's own, and it would have felt good.
Killa on Factory was the first step, and it instantly generated hype/buzz around the game.
The Boss Rush on Reserve is absolutely insane, a hella-lot-of-fun, and punishing AF
Free Labs Entry + Gluhar was insanely enjoyable. I already played a lot of Labs, but this changed labs immensely. Instead of empty lobbies with maybe 1 other player who is a giga-chad M61-headshotting god, the map felt alive and people were going in with a wide spread of loadouts. And Gluhar breathed PvE life into Labs that was absent.
Now, the Obdolbos Cocktail is going around and anyone can take that chance at being a MEGA-HYPER-GIGA Chad for 15 minutes. (Along with Sanitar being absolutely cracked.) Which is wild, and unfortunately limited by supply.
These are all very unique events and are a lot of fun in their own way.
But each of these easily could have been it's own "weekend" event.
Instead these are all being stacked on one another.
Which is fine. But it also is what is further entrenching the idea that it is "pre-wipe".
Which, wipe or not, these events will eventually end.
Everyone will surge back in for early wipe content and/or the Factory Expansion in 12.11.
But then what?
What happens after that luster wears off.
Events like what we have been having need to be more regular.
Even with it being hyper-late wipe, there are a TON of people playing right now for these events.
The economy is EVERYWHERE and unpredictable (like how BSG wants.)
Super meta gear is significantly more uncommon because it is INSANELY expensive on Flea, and sometimes is sold out (Looking at you, Meta ammo), and even then, the people buying it are still dying to the literal army that is on Reserve.
Tarkov this weekend has felt better than it has for months, even with it being late wipe.
Simply because things were cycling.
We need more of this, and more regularly.
tl;dr – These events are fun and should be things that happen semi-regularly across mid-late wipe. Each could have easily stood alone as an event and they have been extremely beneficial for the health of the game IMO.
