First ever real RAGE moment!!!

I'm doing my first ever Guardian loot run. I've been on the planet for a while, figuring it all out. There are NO issues what so ever. However, I need air, and in my SFV
Has x4 relics in inventory. "Mind you, i have 5 min. Of air. " Recall my ship, no prob. Need to be 500 meters away, cool, so recall again ship lands, again no prob DBX does not have cargo racks. I am to jettison cargo in SFV to load into the ship, so I attempt to do so, but the ship is too close. I must move further away, so I do so still can not jettison inventory. I moved 500 meters away, but I still can not jettison Cargo "its greayed out" 15 sec. Of air left jettison cargo no air in the SRV I AM NOW ON FOOT GO TO SHIP FLY IT TO GET IT CLOSER TO SRV, JUMP IN GET INTO MENU TO LOAD SRV BLOWS UP AHHHHHHHHHHHHH FOK. I just do not know why this should have happened just to jettison cargo when ots in a cargo hold just why does it have to transfer.
