Some players notice they're lagging when they enter the game and need to reconnect, because its hard to tell in draft phase. That's all there is to it.
Keep in mind that not everyone has perfect internet, considering a lot of players are connecting from a different continent.
Pausing to smoke or to use the bathroom is one of those things that some players think happen more than it actually does, like smurfing or account buying.
This change to pausing is just fucking stupid all around. Even if they are pausing to smoke or pee, not being able to pause before first blood changes absolutely nothing because they can just go pee/smoke the moment they are able to pause.
Waiting is frustrating, but in the grand scheme, more games will be ruined from games being 4 v 5 than from having to wait for a max of 2 extra minutes in a game that is already going to be 40+ minutes.
