I was playing Dota last night and I remember my mmr because I was about to go to sleep but I was 1 win away from 2k mmr (played and lost) and went down 96 mmr to 1901
Then today I have played 6 games, winning 4 and losing 2. With the old system that would give me a net of + 60 mmr, but instead I’m now on 1906. How have I gone up 5 mmr when I’m winning 66% of my games today.
Now I understand there’s the new ranked confidence (58% now) but surely that should give a mmr multiplier win or lose? A herald placed in a legend game with low confidence should lose big mmr until they start reaching 50/50 and the confidence goes up, until there’s smaller mmr swings. However, a legend playing in herald games and winning a load should also be given bigger mmr rewards to get them to their level when they are winning around 50% of games and mmr gains lessen.
I don’t know if I’m gaining like or losing like 2 mmr per game or if a loss is currently taking a lot more mmr than a win is giving. Plus, winning 4/6 games means I’m not exactly out of my depth and losing a lot so it’s trying to lower my mmr to a more accurate level.
But I know 100% certain than I was at 1901 when I went off last night and I am now at 1906 after 6 games
