I've recently gotten into Tarkov,
As people have told me, Tarkov is fucking difficult if you're new. You will make tons of mistakes, and you will die like an idiot tons of times. I'm okay with all of that.
However, I've gotten to a point where I know a lot about the game and maps I play, yet 60-80% of my raids I die in very strange ways to strange players. At first, I thought I was just bad, so I started testing shit out. I used to try play stealthy, very slowly crouch walking, but always being revealed and shot first by enemies.
I started camping in odd spots where players typically don't go, I started timing things, I started extract camping, just to see how it goes.
The test I did was on Customs. I did nearly naked PMC runs until I got closest possible spawn to the dorms, meaning no other PMC or Scav player could physically arrive before me. I would then choose a random room on the 2nd or 3rd floor, close the door I opened to enter, and make absolutely 0 noise in the room, not even turning sounds. 3 out of 3 tries, I died to an enemy PMC. The first one blind-threw a nade into my room while having no possible knowledge of my existence. The 2 other raids, enemy PMCs pre-fired a hipfire spray right into me as they walk into my room, also while having no possible knowledge of me being there.
Then I decided to try camping a common extract, like ZB-1011. One time I died to an enemy pre-fire, and another time I again died to a blind grenade.
PUBG at its peak, 15% of the userbase was cheating. This game is not even a shooter game like PUBG, but more of a knowledge/insight game. There is nearly no way to beat people who use wall hacks, plus the added factor of RPG farming + value of items makes cheating very attractive to shitty people.
Am I missing something, or is this just another well made game that will be destroyed by cheating like PUBG for any player who isn't a total casual player?
