I remembered that I got the game for free on the Epic store a while back, so I decided to make a new account and start from scratch, then sorta role-play my way through the game. Not focusing on grinding credits, or mats, or rep. Just exist in the galaxy. I'm not the biggest fan of shooter gameplay, but I love the idea of being able to get off my ship and help a crashed pilot repair their ship, or bring replacement parts to a settlement that needs it.
Of every single station I have stopped at so far, the majority of missions are illegal, and even then, the majority of the legal missions involve killing a bunch of people. I just feel like we are being that in terms of the pool of on-foot gameplay available to us in Odyssey, we are being forced to either play as a hired gun, or an exobiologist (I love exploration but I find this gameplay boring and monotonous). Really hoping the future brings more peaceful, but still worthwhile gameplay.
What do you all think?
