I’d like to thank the MF who told me that I needed to place 2 deer trophies to summon the Deer Boss

Not only was I under-skilled to begin with, sporting only leather bits and swinging a flint axe, but it had also taken me 15 hours to muster up the courage to take on the Deer Boss as it was my first playthrough.

Turns out that placing two trophies summons two (!) of the f_ckers. I was spit-roasted and gored to death within seconds.

No problem I thought – I'll just respawn. Sucks that the nearest spawn spot was 5 real-world minutes away, but whatever. I ran back nude, brandishing only a stone axe. I assumed that my gear would be there and the 2 deer gods would have despawned.

Nope – they were both still there and somehow their detection ranges were outside of visible range. I saw their life bars pop up in succession and shat my loincloth. I turned and ran in the opposite direction for what felt like two minutes, strategically toggling the sprint and jump buttons to juggle the stamina bar. In the end, they chased me into the ocean where I panicked and logged out.

Two questions:

1. When I log back in, will I still be nude in the ocean with 2 Deer Bosses patrolling the beaches?
2. Or everything resets and I'll wake up at the spawn point without my gear but also without the 2 Deer Bosses hunting me.
