Truly love Valheim, especially with the VR mod, but was kind of disappointed with how easy and obvious it is to cheese the game without any cheating or googling. Examples:
Sunken crypts, you can snipe most mobs through a partially open mud pile with no fear of them reaching you. Solution: gives mobs more range in crypts.
Dungeons, can just run to entry ledge and hit mobs that can’t climb the ledge. Also ruins immersion. Solution, same as above or let mobs climb ledge. Or get rid of ledge.
No worries about defending your boat on distant shore. Just destroy and store materials and rebuild when you return. Solution: make boats and other certain buildables only refund 50% or 75% on destruction.
Moats foiling most raids. Solution: mobs that can jump, fly, or shoot. Also generally except for trolls you can just repair damage to walls until raid ends as repair has no cost.
There are other examples but these are just a few. Fix the cheese please. 🙂
Please don’t respond “just don’t do the cheese things”. That’s just silly you could say that about any game with balance issues. It’s not realistic.
