Never Gave Up On A Game–But I’m Real Close

So after a week of doing tutorials,etc last night I finally completed my first mission–welcome to the galaxy for 10,000 credits. So today I figured I would do another mission. So while I was still at Mawson's Dock I selected a mission to get 2 kinds of fruit–sounded simple enough. I super cruised to the location only to get a message I was too close–but I couldn't even see my destination. So I looked at the mission and it said it was 2 levels above my current level–so I figured no big deal–I'll go back to Mawson dock. Here's where it gets real screwed up. The first time I requested permission to land on MAwson I got it and my ship went into auto-land–which I didn't know it would even do. This time when I got permission to land nothing happened. No auto dock or anything. So I looked under my flight info and auto dock was enabled. I got the message please land at port 43. So I figured ok I'll ty a manual; landing I guess–still no idea why it didn't go into autoddock like the first time. Only problem was as I approached the dock–there was no indication of where to land. The dock just sat in space and rotated–no clue what so ever where to approach. I flew all around it several times and gave up. This game is hard enough to learn but when it doesn't do the same thing it's too much. I'm hoping someone can shed some light on what I ran into cause I am clueless at this point. Oh–I'm playing on a pS4. Thanks,
