I’m really enjoying playing like this, makes a lot of things less mindless and more in depth. One big problem is keeping my orientation when I’m not near a coast. I’ve been making paths and putting up signs when inland. On the coast I tend to set up little outposts with a workbench/campfire/bed/chest. I’ve been keeping my bearings with these tactics. Thinking I may add signs to the coast outposts once I start sea traveling in case I forget which way to my base.
Anyone else have any other suggestions? Is there any mod out there where I can build a compass at the Iron Age? Amy other mods I should check out? I was using a lot of QoL mods, this time I’m only using Valheim plus and only the 1st person fov toggle, and changing my fov. I was getting too reliant on not checking out recipes because I already had them in chests, I kind of like taking the time and paying attention more to exactly what resources and quantity I’m using.
