After Nikita's interview on the Twitch Gaming Show, he came on Pestily's stream and answered some more questions. Here are the highlights:
The Factory expansion is finished. They are just doing some polishing and playing with the pathing of the boss (Kuvalda).
More info about the factory boss this next week
There will not be a TarkovTV podcast prior to 12.11. They want the features to be a surprise.
Ballistics have noticeably changed. They have changed the penetration values of basically all surfaces in the game.
The first iteration of weapon malfunctions will be in 12.11, misfires. Weapons will need to be taken care of to avoid malfunction.
Different weapon parts (suppressors, dustcovers, muzzle devices, etc) will have different modifiers to the decay of weapon durability.
There are currently two bosses planned for Streets of Tarkov but there may be a third. They are also toying with the idea of having bosses from other maps visit Streets of Tarkov.
One of the new bosses will be the "car dealership" boss that has been talked about long ago. He will be a big guy with a machine gun. He will be fortified inside the dealership with booby traps and snipers. Mine fields, motion detectors, manually-triggered mine ambushes. His compound will be the central hub for all scavs in the city. Attacking the compound head on will likely mean your death, but the boss will roam outside the compound at times.
There will be two types of BTRs. The one showed off in the newest Streets trailer is a BTR-80 w/ 30mm cannon. There will also be an unarmed BTR as well as a BMP (tracked Russian Infantry Fighting Vehicle). Players will be able to hire the BTR to transport them around the map or to go to an area and "fuck it up", presumably with the turret. The BMP will be an even more powerful version of this. More powerful weapons/armour and more troops on top and inside.
The RPG-7 (with multiple rocket types) will be added to take out the armoured vehicles.
Many individual sections of Streets of Tarkov have been fully completed, but there are streets connecting the different areas that are not ready. They will be releasing a large section to begin with and then constantly expanding with new areas afterwards. "10-20 expansions".
Streets of Tarkov will not likely release this year. Probably early 2022.
Two weeks after 12.11 releases, the ETS servers will go back up with the Unity 2019 update.
Temporarily, 70% of the BSG map makers/artists are working on the Lighthouse map. This is in order to get it out quickly before they all move back to working on Streets. Lighthouse will be coming this year, before Streets of Tarkov.
VOIP and inertia changes will be 12.12, these two are the most prioritized features for 12.12.
BSG internally have a exact release date for 12.11 but Nikita will just say this month so as not to cause outrage in case they run into an unexpected problem.
Here is a leak of the MP-155 Ultima "smart shotgun". It has a thermal camera and bult-in LCD screen. It will not be that effective or anything, but will be rare and fun.
Here is a leak of a small thermal sight. It's pixelated and has a short range. EDIT: courtesy of /u/Cinnimonbuns, this is the Sig Echo 1 thermal sight.
Both of these things are coming in 12.11. Nikita described them as "shitty, but they work and they are fancy".
Nikita left us with saying "be prepared for something interesting next week".
Like the title says. In the last 30 games I have had one support? Not like bad players but I mean active throwers. You can look at my games and try ...
