PSA – Soft supports HAVE TO BUY WARDS AND DUSTS!!!

I know, you picked Mirana pos 4 because you're farming tokens.

I know, you will rush Aghanim vs a Sand King and MK with Silver edge.

I know, you will ping your pos 5 for having only boots at min 20.

I know, you won't help with warding.

I know… you will lose.

This stuff happens often in my 6k pubs, but it's pretty much a constant in lower brackets. Somehow, there is an unwritten rule that only hard supports need to buy wards. Don't know why, maybe it's from a period where wards and sentries and couriers costed gold, so it was easier to have one person be a "ward b*tch" and provide vision for the team. But that time has passed.

Wards are literally FREE. Sentry is only 50 (let me get that in words, FIFTEE) gold. You get 3x more gold for successful dewarding. Dust is "only" 80 gold. Now, I don't know exactly how much gold you get for an assist, but your teammate gets at least 300 for the kill. And all of that goes to waste because you thought it's hard support's job to provide detection, so the enemy offlaner runs away with a sliver of HP.

BUY THE F*CKING WARDS.

BUY THE F*CKING DUST!!!

You're SOFT support, but you're still a SUPPORT! You don't need to buy always, but at least help out a fellow 5. The number of games I've had where I bought 40 sentries, 20 dusts and 10 smokes while my POS 4 spent only 100 gold on vision is like the number of idiots who play Dota. HUGE!!!

Tl dr – If you're a pos 4 – buy some wards and always carry dust (if needed). If you're a core – always carry dust (if needed)
