Ok now before you reddit hotheads come in roasting the shit out of me, hear me out. Yes, i know it is easy to get a "survived" status. Im a veteran player with more than great stats all around, and now barely get a run through status unless the raid was fucking abysmal (i.e. lag, stuttering, multiple disconnects, etc…Things out of my control) i probably have a higher survival percentage than most of you who will post here, but i dont want to turn this into a dick measuring contest. In short, I am not arguing this because i am shit, but rather i am arguing this from a logical standpoint.
Now thats out of the way, since ive started playing ive always wondered why S/R doesnt count run throughs.
Sure MIA and leaving should not count: leaving shouldnt count because you are a bitch that cant finish the raid out. And MIA assumes the PMC died because they couldnt reach the extract, leaving them abandoned in a hostile environment.
However with a run through, the PMC fully lived through the raid (as short as it was) and they were accountable at whatever extract they took. Despite this the game treats it as a seperate status, which actually worsens your S/R percentage. (Adds one to R, none to S).
Not that it really matters, because at the end of the day, stash worth and Rubles determine your status in tarkov, not S/R lol but logically, i think Run throughs should count towards the stat because, they lived and didnt die.
Maybe the current "survived" status should be "suceeded" or "success" if you wanted to keep the stat unchanged.
TL;DR: The S/R stat should count run throughs because the PMC didnt die in raid, therefore they "survived" in a sense.
