So I had the opportunity to do the 32GB upgrade I was planning anyway but was determined not to do it just for a game that should never require it.
Do not get me wrong, I love this game. I had given up on multiplayer FPS shooters after BF4, it was the last one I enjoyed. This game got me back again.
However, it admittedly needs a lot of optimisation. I can now finally run lighthouse where I'll consider doing my PMC quests there as I have a chance of it not being a PowerPoint presentation during a shootout, but it's still woeful.
System: R7 3700x (next to be upgraded, 5800X3D, don't need anything more), x570 motherboard, 32GB DDR4 @ 3600 (it is running at 3600), 2x 1TB Nvme and 1TB SATA SSD, RX6950XT, 1000w Corsair platinum PSU.
I'm still occasionally dropping to 57 FPS, normally maintains 60+, goes up to 90 but it's just so randomly inconsistent. No other map is this bad and it never seems to get any better.
RAM usage in game was 19GB max, still plenty to go and VRAM hit 12 GB out of 16. There's no reason why it shouldn't perform the same as shoreline (80 – 100 FPS for my CPU) for what's on it and the distance.
