To all new players or people looking to improve…The meta builds are not that important in this game.

TL;DR: Use what you like to use and get comfortable with it, positioning is more important than gun skills, and STOP SPRINTING.

I seem to be coming across the same exact spec AK-74s and AS VALs with everything streamers use. Spending some time in the flea market will make that very obvious too…b-25 mount grip, easy 50k.

Play with what you like (to an extent, obviously don’t bring 12ga birdshot on woods) and get comfortable with that. I use an AK-105 with way worse ergo, I just build my build to be as close as possible to the ol’ Magpul Beta AK from a few years back. I use it so much that I know how to compensate and react better than the people who I just killed with “meta builds”

My M4 is always turned into a Mk18 Mod1, not the greatest stats and there are way better scopes than the SpectreDR…but it’s a very iconic weapon to me and I really enjoy knowing that’s what I’m using. I don’t like wearing big bulky armor and bags, I think I look stupid, and this game is 50% dress-up and gun-build simulator for me.

Basically skill, comfort level, and positioning are what wins fights, not guns. Just last night on interchange I had a lil baby kedr with 3 20rd mags total. These dudes were geared pretty decently, but they were just running around towards the center of the map. I was around the mantis area, spawned maybe 90 seconds ago? These dudes come sprinting for no reason, I pop out and leg the front guy, he panics and tries to move inside…then while he’s healing I reposition, I know I blacked as least one leg so I’m in good shape in this fight despise having 2 mags legs. So I come in from the other side and the other guy is in the back corner, I just empty another mag into hurt guys leg…he does. I quickly double tap R and am walking quickly(not sprinting) towards him and unload my last mag but he shot me so I have an aim punch that actually worked in my favor and made me tap his face. Low and behold, they both had identical AKs, got beat by a scav with a kedr with no armor and 60 rounds. I think my damage was like 540 to body and 500 absorbed by armor.
