It's been quite a while since the last time I felt Gwent was in such a bad state that I just didn't want to play anymore, for me is safe to say that Renfri meta is THE WORST META GWENT HAS SEEN SINCE THE DWARF META (back in beta).
Back then, they waited almost a year for any kind of updates because the game had gotten to such an unfixable state and they had to revamp the whole game.
Now, we are heading there again.
It's baffling, Renfri meta is probably one of the very few Tier 0 strategies Gwent has ever seen and those are not good for card games, when your whole game revolves a single same engine you know you screwed big time.
However, online card games have a great advantage over their real life counterparts, online games don't have to wai for months for a new banlist or format to hit the game, online games can easily FIX EVERYTHING in a day or two.
In theory they shouldn't have issues with overpowered strategies that went under the radar of play testing (if that's even a thing in CDPR), because they can easily release a Hotfix once they realize there is a problem. But apparently, CDPR has not received the memo.
The message has been loud and clear, from Twitter to Reddit, through Facebook and forums, casual and competitive players alike, the general Gwent's community disapproval of Renfri is shared across everyone.
Don't you see that your numbers are declining? Gwent playerbase it's at an all time low (after homecoming), and I just continue to see the charts going down as the month passes, my friends who used to play are no longer playing (leaving the game recently), and , an old player that has been playing Gwent in a regular basis since the game released, even I don't want to play this ahitty meta anymore.
But it doesn't have to be like this, you have the power to change and fix this CDPR, then why choose not to?
Why ignore your players?
Why leave your game abandoned?
Why you are neglecting the glaring issues that plague your game? (And I'm not just talking about Renfri)
Gwent's future is not bright, sadly.
