Worlds has shown again how freaking isolated Dota is from the “outside world”

So many streamers from other games talked about and watched Worlds, so many Influencers who never even played League or quit years ago talked about and watched it.

But besides xQc there isn't really any big streamer that even talks about Dota or TI. I know that Dota is harder to watch and to understand, but in the end it also aint rocket science, especially if you played other mobas before.

So i wonder what it is that variety streamers watch and are hyped about worlds but don't give a crap about TI. It's probably also one of the reasons why Worlds makes TI look like a small amateur fan tournament. It peak viewers was at 6,4 Million while TI was only at 1,4 Million.

For some reason and since i had nothing to do i also gave it a try today. The Opening Ceremony was kinda cringe and pretty underwhelming compared to TI, the games were just absolutely boring to watch, but you saw a lot of big influencers and streamers in the crowd so guess that makes the difference.

It still feels weird though and shows again how isolated we are from the rest of the gaming world. We are kinda like the North Korea of gaming, nobody goes out, and nobody comes in 🤣
