In this post I want to give my fellow newbies a collection of learning resources that helped me improve my game knowledge and reduced the general suffering this game can cause by a little bit.
Tarkov wiki. Here you can find almost all information you need. Quests, items, weapons, anything really. The difference to other websites is the user interface and form of presentation, which to me makes other websites preferable. For example tarkov-market.com presents it's information more compact.
Tarkov-market.com This website will give you all the important information about any item. Flea market price compared to trader price, if it's needed for a quest or a hideout upgrade or wether it is just worthless.
Quest Item Tracker. This is a flowchart of all the items needed for all the quests so you can know beforehand what to keep for later and what to sell. It also let's you check off items you already own and see which quests come next. The overview is much nicer than any other website.
Mapgenie. This is an interactive map which shows you pretty much everything you want to know. Extracts, loot spawns, possible scav spawns, player spawns, etc. etc. They also have a mobile app so you can use it on your phone in case you don't have a second monitor. You will get a compass after completing Prapor's second Task "Search mission" on Woods. This item will make learning the maps a lot easier.
Ammo chart by NoFoodAfterMidnight. Wanna know what penetration value or damage an ammo has? How many bullets are needed to destroy an armor or any other data? This is the place to go to. An alternative is the Ballistics page on the Tarkov wiki.
Youtube Playlist of guides. Here you will find 91 videos that I watched and found to be helpful or worth saving to watch later. Anything from gun builds, how to fight bosses and other AI, tactics or beginner tips is in here. Give it a watch while you queue up for your next raid. 🙂
Did I miss anything? Are there any resources that should be in this list? Leave a comment!
I for one spent hundreds if not thousand(s) of raids on labs last wipe. I love the map. The chaotic nature of the armies of difficult raiders roaming ...
