Go straight to security.
Do not let anyone get near enough to kill you.
If anyone wants to stand in security, let them use the camera terminal and stand just outside the door, watching that player, the three hatches and the camera's blinking light.
If that player is not actively watching you through the camera feed for a long time and it is just the two of you there, they are probably the killer and is progressing a kill cooldown.
If you are alone and get access to the cameras, watch for these behaviors in a player: anyone who is patrolling the ship in a circle, dipping in and out of rooms they *should* be nervous about going into such as electrical and medbay.
Look especially for players that hesitate nervously outside of security, as if they are having trouble deciding what to do when they see you.
This process should net you a few suspects.
Once the first body has been found, mention you did not see anything on cams. Something subtle like that. Don't invite everyone to come stand with you or anything.
Go straight to cams again before everyone else has a chance to go anywhere and *this time, go around the corner into the reactor room out of sight behind the wall and watch the entrance to security instead of going inside to watch cams*.
The killer will believe you are still watching cams and will go straight there to kill you and will not see you. Let them go inside cams, go straight to the emergency meeting button and explain to everyone "I said I would watch cams and waited to see who would come to kill me and it was (color and name)"
Mention if you saw them try to follow you on your way to the button. They often will once they see what happened.
