Without XMP your ram is much slower on average.
XMP is a very safe way of getting the most out of your hardware. Personally, after enabling it I was able to load into lighthouse and had perfect fps compared to 100% lag and stutter when I tried to play before XMP.
XMP probably isn't a miracle bullet, but it might significantly help reduce the impact of issues you experience in tarkov simply because faster ram makes it a lot easier to handle all of the shit that tarkov has going on.
Lighthouse and this patch do have some performance issues right now per a ton of user feedback, and this is just one thing we can do while waiting for a patch to try and make the game playable.
Immediately after enabling XMP, I noticed that traders inventory loaded instantly, menus immediately populated, etc. The game seemed much more snappy in menus. I loaded into a horde offline Lighthouse map in about 45s from over 2 minutes previously. With having that much AI and players around, I did get the occasional micro stutter but overall it's playable, if not ideal.
I haven't had time to extensively test the impact on the other maps but it seems promising so far. Anyway, I hope this helped you guys! Enjoy the wipe.
