I found this a bit difficult to pull off reliably so came up with a version I find a lot easier that might help other people (or maybe everyone knows this already – I haven’t played in a long time):
I find this easier since it doesn’t require any timing, just riding the throttle up and down until the numbers go the right way.
Hope this helps somebody. o7

Easier is just to turn on SCA (with manual throttle of course), line up, and max throttle all the way to 7 seconds. Then 75% throttle (in the blue) and wait for the speed to drop below 3.0c. Once that happens, max throttle again until the the time reads 4 seconds, then back to 75%. Then wait for the rest to simply happen. No need to ride the throttle up and down testing the clock.
