Hello.
I am always broke in ED but got a Clipper and equipped it for mining, completed a mining mission and got some upgrades. Ended up with about 3kk credits to my name…
Then I decided to try deep core mining.
I've started some in an icy ring and got about 20T of Alexandrite and some Low Temp Diamonds, it was going great. Deep core mining is very satisfying and challenging.
After about two hours and (for me) some good harvest, I've finished collecting from a cracked asteroid…
Welp, it's to to go above the ring and scan again.
Little did I know, the small/medium size rocks that float about around the main chunks of the cracked asteroid are not just for show. Thinking nothing of them, I booster through and in a blaze of glory blew up my ship, sat in silence for about 15 seconds, then realised I had made a rookie mistake by not checking my balance against my insurace but luckily I was able to rebuy. Lesson learned.
