A Tarkov tryhard’s #1 tip for winning more fights

For some context: I have 1500 hours in Tarkov (most of these in 2020, 12.9 or so), almost 1000 in Apex Legends, and 700 or so in Siege. Apex convinced me to get kovaaks to work on my aim, but I felt like my buffed ain didn't quite transfer to Tarkov.

Part of this was because I wasn't a "Chad" in Tarkov for quite some time. I would run good gear and make lots of money, and nearly got Kappa, but I never felt truly confident. I had a positive PMC k/d, wiped out every boss, but still didn't feel up to par in my fights. Ended up taking what was essentially a two-wipe break, staying in single digit levels until I decided to get back into it a couple weeks ago to prepare for this wipe.

Coming back, I implemented a new routine: every time I get on and/or make a new kit, I head into offline factory, horde mode, no bosses, not tagged and cursed. Sometimes I bring meds, sometimes no. When I get in, all I do is run around and shoot scavs. I spray some of them down, and go for one-tap headshots on others. I do both of these at varying ranges. I keep on going until I die, never extracting, but I also try to stay alive as long as possible and kill as many scavs as possible.

You might think that this seems like a small thing to do, but it has elevated my gameplay by at least 4%. Now, taking fights with scavs is second nature, and actually taking duels with players isn't as stressful. Additionally, this practice helps me warm up to Tarkov's goofy, alien recoil and whatever specific gun and kit I'm using. This is especially useful for players that run a variety of weapons, because I might run a meta mutant one raid and then a stock opsks with a pso next raid, so this strat helps me adjust to whatever I've got.

Ultimately, there's only one thing you can do: try it out yourself and see if it works! I would be interested in seeing if this helps anyone else out
