Hello dota players (and devs…maybe?),
Arc used to be my most spammed hero a few years back, when physical attack build was viable and very potent if mastered properly. The current aghs octarine spell casting build feels so boring and honestly not fun at all. I propose to remove the spark wraith spell and give him a new unique passive.
This passive would work when arc uses his ult. Imagine that initially arc would be neutral charged/not charged. When he uses ult, he will splits into two units, one would be positively charged (original hero) and the other would be negative (the clone). Every time the original hero hits an enemy unit the enemy gets a positive charge debuff. Basically a counter on how many times the positive hero has hit the enemy. Similarly, for every autoattack the negative hero lands, the enemy get a negative charge counter. This debuff doesn't do anything on its own and expires after a while, it comes into effect only when the other unit hits the enemy as well. If the enemy is hit by the clone after being recently hit by the original, both the +ve and -ve charge would cancel, the positive counter will reduce by one, and would do bonus damage. As you can see, if both the orig hero and the clone are hitting the same target, then they would dish out serious damage, as compared to them fighting separately.
This passive along with the 50% damage reduction and the lack of spark wraiths would incentivise the players to stand and fight in a teamfight and not hide in the trees to cast spark wraiths like a pussy. Might as well help discourage people from using the clone to push sidelanes/rat while a teamfight is happening.
Thoughts ?
TLDR: Remove spark wraith; Add new passive. If both the orig hero and clone hit the same target, do extra damage.
