We are constantly getting broken cards that just ruin the meta for everyone, and the reason for that is that cards are no longer balanced only according to their provisions but also according to their archetype, and the result of that is almost always that the card finds a new meaning of life in another archetype, making it completely broken.
We have seen it with the King of Beggars, becoming a package with Savola, instead of being a tool for tributes deck, we have seen it with Raffi's vengeance converting all NR decks into inspired zeal and the list is endless
This is also partly the reason why homebrews feel so weak currently, compared to 1-2 years ago – most of the strongest meta decks are decks that the devs made, archetypes tailored to be played very closely or exactly to how devs wanted – there is nothing wrong with decks made by the devs the problem starts when those decks gets tools that outcompete anything else in the game
