BSG, Tarkov, and Market Research

I sound like a paranoid schizophrenic, but hear me out.

Tarkov, to me, is one of the most interesting games currently, particularly as a controlled experiment in human (purchasing) behavior. The Flea Market is, in my opinion, the most stable player-driven economies in the market.

DISCLAIMER: I played Hypixel’s Skyblock gamemode for several years, and the player-driven market got so bad that an item worth ~1000 coins is now worth roughly 100k coins.

I might be reaching here (this is absolutely a conspiracy theory), but BSG might be using the flea market as some form of market research, whether intentional or not. think about FIR and the 12.12 restrictions. although those were done in the name of “game balance”, documenting what became more valuable and what started being considered less useful. on a smaller scale, it’s a fantastic nonverbal method for player feedback, specifically for weapons.

I don’t really have a meaning for all this, just something to consider. Nikita please add gay sex with the traders, and make therapist a man.
