I just want to voice my opinion after hearing discussions on which on the BC1 changes to revert. I think too many immediate reversions will in the long term hurt the community and game. I'm not saying that we should never reverse a decision, especially when a change leads to a big swing in the power of a deck (Reavers being broken, possibly Golden Compass). However, with the talk of unnerving several cards, do you think players that voted for those are just going to give up? No, they'll redo the action. So our Gwentfinity changes, of which most agree there needs to be many, are being thrown away in a pointless see-saw. Also, this is going to just lead to resentment, and more efforts to form voting brigades. Right or wrong, nobody feels good to be immediately overruled.
Instead, I think we should see how the new meta develops and then, after a month or two, think of revisiting. At that point, I don't think it will be as emotinally charged, and consensus will form. Some have pointed to the return of Viy as an example of a once hated deck being given another chance. I just think a process of mutual respect, taking the wishes of the community into account, even if they contradict our own opinions and preferences, is the best way forward.
But maybe I'm wrong, and a contingent is just going to vote NG into unplayability every council. At that point, Gwentfinity is dead anyway. But I'd like us to at least give it a real shot, and not just assume that the *majority* of the player base are trolls and dummies who are just going to overpower their pet decks.
